Jammat leader held in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, July 29, 2018 (BSS) – Police arrested a leader of Jamaat-e-
Islami Bangladesh from Satkhania thana last night.
The detainee was identified as Nurul Islam, 42, son of Habibur Rahman,
hailed from Demsha Mizpara village under Satkhania upazila of the district.
Nurul was accused of possessing explosive, conducting sabotage acts, and
assault on police during Jammat-Shibir’s countrywide arson and sabotages in
2014.
He is the Ameer of Demsha union unit of Jammat. Two cases were pending
with Satkhania thana against him, said Rofiqul Hossain, officer-in-charge of
the thana.
