Govt. committed to improving people’s living condition: Nasim

RAJSHAHI, July 28, 2018 (BSS) – Health and Family Welfare Minister
Mohammad Nasim, MP, said the government is committed to improving living and
livelihood conditions of the grassroots people as he addressed a reunion of
Pabna and Sirajgong districts’ people now residing in Rajshahi.

“To this end, the government under the dynamic leadership of Prime
Minister Sheikh Hasina has been implementing various need-based programmes,”
he said.

He came up with statement at the function on Katakhali Municipality
premises under Paba Upazila in the district yesterday afternoon as the chief
guest.

On the occasion, the health minister handed over the key of an ambulance
to Katakhali municipality mayor as per his commitment being given three
months back.

Awami League Central Committee Member Nurul Islam Thandu, Ayen Uddin, MP,
Chairman of Rajshahi Zila Parishad Muhammad Ali Sarker, Pabna Zila Parishad
Chairman Rejaur Rahim and Katakhali Municipality Mayor Abbas Ali, among
others, also spoke on the occasion.

Nasim said the present government has attained significant success in the
health sector during the last nine and half years.

Praising various activities of the government, he also said the country
witnessed various development works under the present government.

The minister also said the community clinic at the grassroots level brought
the rural people under the health care services, adding that the government
so far has launched nearly 15,000 community clinics and union healthcare
services to provide treatment to the rural people.

Nasim said the community clinics are one of the ten special initiatives
announced by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and it has been playing a
significant role in reaching health and family planning services at the
doorsteps of the rural people.

He said very recently government has appointed ten thousands nurses and
six thousands doctors in different hospitals, adding that “We are planning to
employ another ten thousands doctors across the country,”
