AL establishes women rights in country: Anisul

BRAHMANBARIA, July 27, 2018 (BSS) – Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs
Minister Anisul Huq today said Awami League (AL) established women rights in
the country.

“Women had no identity in the society during the tenure of BNP and Ershad’s
Jatiya Party. They had no rights. They were regularly became victims of acid
attacks. Sheikh Hasina changed the scenario and stopped all kinds of
oppression against them,” he said.

The law minister came up with the observations while addressing a rally of
Women Awami League on Nasrin Nabi Pilot Girls High School premises at
Akhaura, Brahmanbaria this morning.

Presided over by Akhaura Upazila Women Awami League president Monjuara
Begum, the rally was also addressed by Akhaura municipality mayor Takjil
Khalifa and upazila Awami League general secretary Peara Begum, among others.

Huq said BNP-Jamaat alliance doesn’t believe in Bangladesh.

“If they (BNP-Jamaat) come into power, Bangladesh will not have anything
good left. To keep the forward march of development going, we need to make
Sheikh Hasina prime minister again,” he added.
