DHAKA, 27, 2018 (BSS) – President M Abdul Hamid today expressed profound
shock at the death of SM Mostafa Rashidi Suja, a parliament member from
Khulna-4 constituency.
In a condolence message, the President conveyed his sympathy to the
bereaved family members and prayed for salvation of the departed soul.
“The countrymen, particularly the people of Khulna, have lost a pro-people
leader…he (Suja) had immense contribution to local development and
flourishing democracy in the country,” he said.
Abdul Hamid added: “His sad demise is really irreparable loss to the
country’s political arena”.
Suja, the general secretary of Khulna district unit of Awami League and
also former whip of Jatiya Sangsad, died at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in
Singapore last night where he was undergoing treatment for prolonged kidney
ailments.
