Ministers condole death of Kalparanjan
DHAKA, July 25, 2018 (BSS) – Local Government, Rural Development (LGRD) and Cooperatives Minister Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain today expressed deep shock at the death of former minister Kalparanjan Chakma.
In a condolence message, he prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
In separate condolence messages, State Minister for Public Administration Ismat Ara Sadique and lawmaker from Khagrachari Kujendra Lal Chakma also expressed deep shock at the death of Kalparanjan.
Kalparanjan Chakma (98), a former minister of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) Affairs Ministry, died of old-age complications at a hospital in the city at 12 noon today.
He was elected member of parliament (MP) for two terms in 1991 and 1996 from Khagrachari. Later, he served as the first minister of CHT Affairs Ministry in 1998.
His cremation will be held at Rangamati Bana Bihar on Thursday.
