DHAKA, July 25, 2018 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of former minister and ex-president of Khagrachhari district Awami League Kalparanjan Chakma.
In a condolence message, the prime minister recalled with profound gratitude the contributions of Kalparanjan Chakma to the signing of the historic Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) Peace Treaty.
Sheikh Hasina prayed for salvation of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
Kalparanjan Chakma, a former CHT Affairs minister, died at a hospital in the capital today.
