Govt to build modern complexes at all police stations: Home Minister

NAOGAON, July 25, 2018 (BSS) – Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said here today the government is set to construct modern complexes at all the police stations across the country in phases with having world class facilities.

“The government has been working to turn the entire police force into a modern one with keeping the latest changing trend in the mind. As part of the initiative, modern building complexes will be built in all the police stations in phases,” he said.

He was speaking as the chief guest at an inaugural function of the construction work of six-storey modern building complex for Patnitala Police Station of Naogaon district at a cost of Taka around 4.14 crore over mobile phone as he (minister) could not reach the spot due to inclement weather.

Closed Circuit Camera Television (CCTV) room, wireless room, conference room, separate custodial rooms for men, women and children will be set up in the building complex with having all modern facilities.

“The government has done a lot for ensuring overall development of the police force. Salary and other benefits of the police force have already been increased alongside with purchasing modern firearms and necessary equipment for the force,” the minister also said.

Among others, Naogaon Sadar constituency and President of Naogaon Awami League, Md Abdul Khaleque, Jatiya Sangsad Whip Shahiduzzaman Sarker, MP, district AL General Secretary, Sadhan Chandra Majumder,MP, Israfil Alam, MP, Chhalim Uddin Tarofder, MP, were present on the occasion.
