Nasim’s contribution be written in golden letters in history : Murad
DHAKA, June 19, 2021 (BSS) – State Minister for Information and Broadcasting M Murad Hasan today said Mohammed Nasim’s supreme sacrifice and contributions in the country’s politics will be written with golden letters in the history .
” Despite undergoing huge imprisonments , torture and oppression, Mohammad Nasim has expressed his solid and steadfast confidence in the leadership of Sheikh Hasina by embracing the ideals of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman ,” he said.
“In the changed context of 1/11, the army-backed government threw the PM in a dark cell of the jail, but Nasim did not betray the party president,’ he added.
He said this at a meeting organized by Bangamata Foundation at the National Press Club this afternoon to commemorate the death anniversary of former minister and former Awami League presidium member Mohammad Nasim, said a press release.
“Mohammad Nasim has made an outstanding contribution in bringing the party to power by organizing the party across the country and led the movement by holding the flag of Awami League in the difficult times after August 15, 1975,” he said.
President of the organization Sheikh Shah Alam presided over the meeting which was addressed among others by Dilip Barua of Samyabadi Dal, Nasim’s son Engineer Tanvir Shakil Joy MP, Akhter Hossain and MA Karim .
