Workshop held to promote govt’s achievements

DHAKA, June 19, 2021 (BSS) – A day-long in-house workshop was held with
the participation of the officials of the Information Department to promote
the achievements of Bangladesh and the development activities of the
government.

Chief Information Officer Surath Kumar Sarkar joined the workshop
virtually, said a press release.

He said that due to the efficient leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina and relentless participation of all, Bangladesh has gone from a least
developed country to a middle income country today.

He directed the concerned information officers to publicize the
development activities of the government with a view to make Bangladesh a
developed and prosperous country by 2041.

“PID’s newsroom is now rich with information due to the development of
ICT sector…Now the newsroom getting all information from everywhere and
providing developmental information to the government, he said.

He also directed the concerned sections to be diligent in providing
perfect photos to the photograph sections of PID.

A total of 92 officials of the Information Department including eight
divisional officials of PID took part in the workshop.

M Saifullah of the Information Department (Senior Deputy Chief
Information Officer, Press and Ministerial Publicity) said that information
officers need to be proficient in ICT.

He urged the concerned people to continue the practice by accessing
25,000 websites of the National Information Window (JATIYO TOTTHO BATAYAN) to
collect information.
