DHAKA, June 19, 2021 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD)
today predicted that light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to
occur at many places across the country in the next 24 hours commencing at
9am today.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty
wind is likely to occur at most places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal
and Chattogram divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and
Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at some places
over the country,” said a met office bulletin today.
Day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country, it said.
Country’s maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 33.5 degrees Celsius
at Srimangal in Sylhet and lowest one today 23.5 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi.
The highest rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 166
millimeters (mm) at Ishurdi in Rajshahi.
The sun sets at 6:48 pm today and rises at 5:12 am tomorrow in the
capital.
