Three players share lead after 4th round
DHAKA, June 18, 2021 (BSS)- Three players are sharing leads with maximum four points after fourth round matches of the International Rating Chess Tournament now being held at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room and Auditorium Lounge of Shaheed Captain Sheikh Kamal of National Sports Council tower in the city.
The three players are FM Mehdi Hasan Parag, Jabed Al Azad and Swarnavo Choudhury.
Eight players are sharing the second position with 3.5 points each. They are GM Ziaur Rahman, IM Mohammad Minhaz Uddin, FM Subrota Biswas, FM Syed Mahfuzur Rahman, CM Tahsin Tajwar Zia, CM Manon Reja Neer, CM Sharif Hossain and CM Jamal Uddin.
In the day’s fourth round matches, GM Ziaur Rahman split point with CM Tahsin Tajwar Zia, FM Mehdi hasan Parag beat IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman, IM Mohammad Minhaz Uddin split point with CM Manon Reja Neer, Jabed Al Azad beat Anata Choudhury, FM Subrota Biswas split point with CM Sharif Hossain, FM Syed Mahfuzur Rahman split point with CM Jamal Uddin, Swarnavo Choudhury beat Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan and Anisuzzaman Jewel split point with Delwar Hossain.
The fifth round matches begin tomorrow (Saturday) from 3 pm at the same venues.
