65 more test positive for COVID-19 in Natore
NATORE, June 18, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 65 more people were diagnosed with COVID-19 positive in the last 24 hours in the district after testing 276 samples at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital COVID-19 PCR laboratory and Natore Sadar Hospital including three Upazila Health complexes COVID-19 rapid antigen testing centers.
Of the new positive cases, 28 are in Sadar upazila, 10 in Baraigram upazila, 11 in Singra upazila, six in Bagatipara upazila, two in Lalpur upazila and eight in Gurudaspur upazila of the district.
The infection rate is about 23.55 percent in the district, said civil surgeon Dr Kazi Mizanur Rahman.
According to the civil surgeon’s office sources, samples of 16,339 people have been tested in the district so far and 2,557 people have been found COVID-19 positive, while the number of recovery cases at 1,557.
A total of 39 persons have so far died of COVID-19 in the district, said civil surgeon Dr Kazi Mizanur Rahman.
At present 978 people are in home quarantine in the district while 42 patients are in Natore Sadar Hospital quarantine, he said.
The health experts of the district urged all to follow the health rules strictly and use masks to prevent the spread of the lethal virus.
