66 more test positive for COVID-19 in Natore
NATORE, June 17, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 66 more people were diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 24 hours in the district after testing 128 samples at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital COVID-19 PCR laboratory and Natore Sadar Hospital including three Upazila Health complexes and COVID-19 rapid antigen testing centers.
Of the new positive cases, 38 are in Sadar upazila, 11 in Baraigram upazila, three in Singra upazila, four in Bagatipara upazila, two in Lalpur upazila and eight in Gurudaspur upazila of the district.
The infection rate is about 51.56 percent in the district, said civil surgeon Dr Kazi Mizanur Rahman.
According to the civil surgeon’s office sources, of the total 15,914 samples tested in the district so far, 2,512 people have been found COVID-19 positive, while the number of recovery cases stood at 1,557.
A total of 39 people have so far died of COVID-19 in the district, said civil surgeon Dr Kazi Mizanur Rahman.
At present the number of persons remaining in home quarantine in the district is 912, he said.
The health experts of the district urged all to follow the health rules strictly and use masks to prevent the spread of the lethal virus.
He urged everyone to be more aware to prevent this lethal infection.
