CHAPAINAWABGANJ, June 17, 2021 (BSS) – Three more persons died of Covid-19 during the last 24 hours raising the total number of deaths to 85 in the district.
“The number of Covid-19 cases climbed to 3,321 as 48 more people were detected positive after testing 388 samples in the district during the period while the infection rate is 12.37 percent,” Civil Surgeon Office sources said.
All the dead persons are residents of Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila.
Among the newly detected patients, 25 are from Sadar upazila, seven from Shibganj upazila, 11 from Gomastapur upazila, two from Nachole upazila and three from Bholahat upazila.
A total of 1,224 patients, in which 72 in dedicated Covid-19 hospital and others are in home quarantine.
Meanwhile 2,015 patients have recovered from the disease here, the sources added.
