100 more test positive for COVID-19 in Satkhira
SATKHIRA, June 16, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 100 more persons were reported positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours in the district after diagnosing 188 samples at Satkhira Medical College and Hospital (SMC) COVID-19 laboratory.
The infection rate is about 53.19 percent in the district, civil surgeon of the district Dr. Hussain Shafayat, told BSS this afternoon.
The total number of infected persons in the district stood at 2,611 and the number of recovery cases stood at 2,060, Dr. Hussain Shafayat said.
Meanwhile, four people have died with coronavirus symptoms in the last 24 hours in the district, he added.
A total of 52 persons have so far died of COVID-19 in the district.
So far, a total of 234 people have died with coronavirus symptoms in the district.
Dr. Hussain Shafayat said a total of 55 coronavirus infected persons are now undergoing treatment at Satkhira Medical College Hospital, rest of the infected persons are now undergoing treatment at home quarantine under the supervision of doctors from their respective upazila health complexes.
The health expert urged all to follow the health rules strictly and use masks to prevent the spread of the lethal virus.
He urged everyone to be more aware to prevent this lethal infection.
