Despite Covid-19, industrialization trend of Bangladesh continues: Humayun
DHAKA, June 16, 2021 (BSS) – Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun today said despite the global corona epidemic, the trend of industrialization and economic development is continuing in Bangladesh under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
“The private sector is the main driving force of the country’s economic development. Our government has always given priority to industrialization through the establishment of industry and private industrial establishments,” he added.
Humayun said this while speaking as the chief guest at the virtual inauguration ceremony of Nestle Bangladesh Limited’s state-of-the-art ‘Infant Formula Processing, Filling and Packaging Plant’ at Sreepur in Gazipur, said a press release.
Executive Chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Md Sirajul Islam Khan was present as the special guest.
Humayun said the government is encouraging all kinds of investment.
The government has proposed an industry-friendly budget with emphasis on the development of domestic industries, he added.
