Sadhan urges all to work sincerely for ‘Boro’ procurement drive
DHAKA, June 16, 2021 (BSS)- Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder today urged all concerned to maintain utmost sincerity and relentless efforts to make the ongoing ‘Boro’ procurement-activities successful in the country.
“Field level officials must discharge their duties with utmost sincerity for ‘Boro’ procurement-activities. They have to go to the field to buy paddy. All field officials of the food department should continue their maximum efforts in this regard,” he said.
The minister said this while addressing a meeting titled ‘Internal Boro Procurement-2021 of Dhaka and Mymensingh Divisions for Progress Review Meeting’ virtually as the chief guest from his office room at Secretariat.
The minister said that according to the information of the Ministry of Agriculture, the country has got bumper crop of boro.
He mentioned that the procurement campaign should be successful so that the consumers do not suffer any way .
He called upon the food officials to work sincerely to make the campaign a success by collecting boro from the mill owners as per the agreement.
With Director General of the Food Department Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the chair, the meeting was attended, among others ,by Food Secretary Dr Moshammat Nazmanara Khanum as special guest.
Field level officials of the Food Department of Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions virtually joined the meeting.
