REMAND-ASSOCIATE-OMY
2 cronies of Pori Moni’s attacker Omy remanded
DHAKA, June 16, 2021 (BSS) – A Dhaka court today placed two associates
of Tuhin Siddiqui Omy, one of the persons accused of attempting to
rape and murder actress Pori Moni, on two-day remand each in a case
lodged under passport act.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Devabrata Biswas passed the order,
remanding Bachir and Moshiur Miah in the case. The court came up with
the order as police produced the duo before it and pleaded to place
them on a 10-day remand.
Police on June 15, arrested Bachir and Moshiur from an office named
Singapore Training Centre in Dakkhinkhan area of the capital. Police
seized 102 passports of different persons from the office and filed
the case under passport offence act.
Dakkhinkhan Police Station officer in-charge Shikder Mohammad Shamim
said the office is owned by Omy but it was used to run by Bachir and
Moshiur.
