HC grants bail to BNP leader Nipun Roy Chowdhury
Dhaka, June 16, 2021 (BSS) – The High Court Division has granted bail to BNP leader Nipun Roy Chowdhury in two cases.
A virtual High Court division bench comprising of Justice Muhammad Abdul Hafeez and Justice Mohammad Ali passed the order today.
Senior lawyers Zainul Abedin and Nitai Roy Chowdhury stood in favor of the bail application in the court. Deputy Attorney General Harun Aur Rashid represented the state.

Nipun Roy was arrested on March 28 from Rayerbazar area of the capital on charges of subversion by the law-enforcement forces.
A case was filed against her with Hazaribagh police station in this regard.
Besides, Nipun Roy Chowdhury was arrested in another case filed by Jatrabari Police Station on charges of illegal assembly, serious injury and attempted murder.
