Gas cylinder explosion of truck kills woman at Hazaribag
DHAKA, June 15, 2021 (BSS) – Approximately a 35-year old woman, riding on a truck, was killed in its gas cylinder explosion at the RS CNG Pump in Hazaribag Beribandh area here, police, witnesses and hospital sources said today.
Md Bachchu Mia, police inspector of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) police outpost, told BSS that, “The explosion occurred last night . . . And the ill-fated woman succumbed to her injuries at the hospital at 4.15 am today.”
He said the truck driver was taking gas from the RS CNG Pump last night while except the woman, all got down from the truck at the pump.
Subsequently Hazaribagh Police rescued the critically injured woman and sent her to the DMCH, where doctors declared him dead at around 4.15 am, said a hospital source.
Police are yet to trace out the victim’s identity.
The body has been sent to DMCH morgue, the source said.
