70 more test positive for COVID-19 in Natore

NATORE, June 14, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 70 more people were diagnosed with COVID-19 positive in the last 24 hours in the district after testing 171 samples at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital COVID-19 PCR laboratory and Natore Sadar Hospital including three Upazila Health complexes COVID-19 rapid antigen testing centers.

Of the new positive cases, 48 are in Sadar upazila, 10 in Baraigram upazila, seven in Singra upazila, four in Bagatipara upazila and one in Gurudaspur upazila of the district.

The infection rate is about 41 percent in the district, said civil surgeon Dr Kazi Mizanur Rahman.

Meanwhile, two people have died with coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours in the district, civil surgeon of the district Dr Kazi Mizanur Rahman, told BSS this afternoon.

According to the civil surgeon’s office sources, samples of 15,586 people have been tested in the district so far and 2,265 people have been found COVID-19 positive, while the number of recovery cases at 1,557.

A total of 34 persons have so far died of COVID-19 in the district, said civil surgeon Dr Kazi Mizanur Rahman.

At present the number of persons in the home quarantine in the district is 664 and the number of patients in the Natore Sadar Hospital quarantine 44, he said.

The health experts of the district urged all to follow the health rules strictly and use masks to prevent the spread of the lethal virus.

He urged everyone to be more aware to prevent this lethal infection.
