44 more test positive for COVID-19 in Satkhira
SATKHIRA, June 14, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 44 more persons were tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours in the district after diagnosing 94 samples at Satkhira Medical College and Hospital (SMC) COVID-19 laboratory.
The infection rate is about 47.21 percent in the district, civil surgeon of the district Dr. Hussain Shafayat, told BSS this afternoon.
The total number of infected persons in the district stood at 2,420 and the number of recovery cases stood at 2,051, Dr. Hussain Shafayat said.
Meanwhile, three people have died with coronavirus symptoms in the last 24 hours in the district, he added.
A total of 52 persons have so far died of COVID-19 in the district.
So far, a total of 226 people have died with coronavirus symptoms in the district.
Dr. Hussain Shafayat said a total of 36 coronavirus infected persons are now undergoing treatment at Satkhira Medical College Hospital, rest of the infected persons are now undergoing treatment at home quarantine under the supervision of doctors from their respective upazila health complexes.
The health expert urged all to follow the health rules strictly and use masks to prevent the spread of the lethal virus.
