CHAPAINAWABGANJ, June 13, 2021 (BSS)- Two more persons died and 57 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 during the last 24 hours in the district.
With this the number of deaths rose upto 68 and the number of corona infected persons became 3,133 in the district.
Of the new deaths, one person is from sadar upazila and another from Gomostapur upazila.
Sources in the Chapainawabganj Civil Surgeon office confirmed this.
The sources said that 538 samples were tested during the last 24 hours in the district and the infection rate was 10.59 percent.
Among the newly detected patients, 45 people are from sadar upazila, three from Shibganj upazila and nine from Gomastapur upazila.
A total of 1,267 patients in which 55 in dedicated Covid-19 hospital and others in home quarantine are undergoing treatment in the district while 1,800 patients have so far recovered from the deadly disease here, the sources added.
