Saudi Arabia considers barring overseas hajj pilgrims for second year

DHAKA, June 12, 2021 (BSS) – The Saudi Arabian government has said that Hajj pilgrims from any country will not be permitted to perform Hajj this year.

The Saudi government has taken the decision due to the Covid-19 pandemic, said a press release.

This time, Hajj will be performed on a limited scale with muslims from Saudi Arabia and neighbouring countries residing in Saudi Arabia, it said.
