BHOLA, June 12, 2021 (BSS) – A number of five more persons were diagnosed with COVID-19 positive in the last 24 hours in the district after testing 47 samples at Bhola 250-bed General Hospital’s COVID-19 laboratory.
Among the new positive cases, three are in Sadar upazila and two in Charfashion upazila of the district, civil surgeon (acting) Dr. Md. Sirajuddin told BSS.
The total number of infected people here stood at 1,971 while the number of recovery cases reached 1,875, he said.
Meanwhile, 15 patients recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours in the district.
A total of 26 persons have so far died of the deadly virus here, said Dr Sirajuddin added.
Of infected persons, six are now undergoing treatment at Bhola 250-bed General Hospital, he also said.
The health official urged all to follow the health rules strictly and use masks to prevent the spread of the lethal virus.
He also called upon everyone to be more aware of preventing this lethal infection.
