Int’l Rating Chess to begin Tuesday
DHAKA, June 10, 2021 (BSS)- International Rating Chess tournament will begin from Tuesday (June 15) at the auditorium lounge of Shaheed captain Sheikh Kamal auditorium of National Sports Council tower in the city.
Only one hundred players will be allowed to participate in the meet with an entry fee on a first come first enrollment basis. The event will be held in a nine round Swiss-League system.
A total of Taka two lacs cash prize money will be given to the winners.
In this regard, a press conference was held today at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall room to provide all the details of the meet.
Bangladesh Chess Federation (BCF) vice president KM Shahidullah, BCF general secretary and FIDE Zone 3.2 president Syed Shahab Uddin Shamim, BCF joint secretary Masudur Rahman Mallick, Chief Arbiters IA Mohammad Haroon Or Rashid and Sajal Mahmud, were among others, present in the press conference.
