BKSP’s archer Prodipto beats Olympic qualifying archer

DHAKA, June 10, 2021, (BSS)-Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) archer Prodipto Chakma beat Tokyo Olympic Games qualifying Malaysian archer Mohammad Khairul Anur by 6-4 set points in the recurve men’s singles pre-quarterfinal event of the Asia Cup World Ranking tournament stage-1 held today in Gwangju city of Korea.

However, the Bangladeshi archer could not move forward after that as he lost to Furukawa Takaharu of Japan by 2-6 set points in the quarterfinal.

It can be mentioned that Bangladesh‘s top archer Ruman Sana lost to the Malaysian archer Mohammad Khairul Anur in the semifinal of the Archery World Cup held in the Netherlands two years back.

In the recurve mixed team event, Prodipto Chakma and Rojoni Akter of Bangladesh lost to Furukawa Takaharu and Hayakawa Ren of Japan by 6-0 set points.
