62 more test positive for COVID-19 in Natore
NATORE, June 10, 2021 (BSS) – A total number of 62 more people were diagnosed with COVID-19 positive in the last 24 hours in the district after testing 184 samples at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital COVID-19 PCR laboratory and Natore Sadar Hospital including three Upazila Health complexes COVID-19 rapid antigen testing centers.
Of the new positive cases, 49 are in Sadar upazila, five in Singra upazila, four in Gurudaspur upazila and four in Bagatipara upazila of the district.
The infection rate is about 34 percent in the district, said civil surgeon Dr Kazi Mizanur Rahman.
Meanwhile, one people have died due to coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours in the district, civil surgeon of the district Dr Kazi Mizanur Rahman, told BSS this afternoon.
According to the civil surgeon’s office sources, samples of 15,107 people have been tested in the district so far and 2,046 people have been found COVID-19 positive, while the number of recovery cases at 1,501.
A total of 31 persons have so far died of COVID-19 in the district, said civil surgeon Dr Kazi Mizanur Rahman.
At present the number of persons in the home quarantine in the district is 502 and the number of patients in the Natore Sadar Hospital quarantine 43, he said.
The health experts of the district urged all to follow the health rules strictly and use masks to prevent the spread of the lethal virus.
He urged everyone to be more aware to prevent this lethal infection.
