RANGPUR, June 10, 2021 (BSS) – Rangpur City Corporation (RpCC) has launched distribution of masks among front-liners in the city with the slogan of ‘Wear a mask, stay safe’ in the wake of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
Mayor of Rangpur Mostafizar Rahman Mostafa inaugurated the programme in collaboration with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) at a function held at his conference room here on Wednesday afternoon.
Under this programme, 4,000 pieces of high-quality masks will be distributed among all councilors, officers and employees, cleaning workers and front liners of Rangpur City Corporation.
With the Chief Executive Officer of RpCC Md. Ruhul Amin Miah in the chair, its Secretary Md. Rashedul Haque, Superintending Engineer Md. Amdad Hossain, Administrative Officer Md. Nayeem Ul Haq, City Governance Specialist of JICA’s Capacity Development of City Corporation Project Box Kishore Tripura, Education Officers of RpCC Debrut Kumar Sharma Debu and Elahi Farooque, city councilors and other officials attended the function.
On the occasion, the City Mayor expressed deep gratitude to JICA, a Japanese development agency, for extending assistance and working on various developments including infrastructure in Rangpur City Corporation for a long time.
