52 more test positive for COVID-19 in Naogaon
NAOGAON, June 9, 2021 (BSS) – Fifty-two more people were diagnosed with COVID-19 positive in the last 24 hours in the district after testing 292 samples at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital COVID-19 PCR laboratory and Naogaon Sadar Hospital COVID-19 rapid antigen testing centers.
The infection rate is 17.80 percent and the incidence of coronavirus infection is increasing in the district, civil surgeon of the district Dr. ABM Abu Hanif, told BSS this afternoon.
The total number of infected persons in the district stood at 2,592 and the number of recovery cases stood at 2,093, civil surgeon Dr. ABM Abu Hanif said.
Meanwhile, five patients recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours in the district.
A total of 48 persons have so far died of COVID-19 in the district, he said.
Dr. ABM Abu Hanif said 33 infected persons are now undergoing treatment at Naogaon Sadar Hospital and rest of the infected persons are now undergoing treatment at home quarantine under the supervision of doctors from their respective upazila health complexes.
The health expert urged all to follow the health rules strictly and use masks to prevent the spread of the lethal virus.
