Jamie contents over his boys performance

DHAKA, June 8, 2021 (BSS)-Bangladesh national football team head coach Jamie Day has expressed his satisfaction over his boys performance in the match against India.

Despite fighting neck to neck most of the proceeding, the green jersey finally conceded two goals in the span of the last ten minutes in the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qualifiers and Asian Cup 2023 held on Monday last in Doha.

Boys performed exceptionally well in the match because the way they showed their attitude in the ninety minutes was fantastic, but it was disappointing to concede two goals in the last ten minutes, Jamie said through a video message today.

He said it was disappointing to lose the match but at the same time The English born Bangladesh head coach is looking forward to the last match against Oman which he thinks would be an extremely tough game for them and his boys must have to give their maximum ability to get a respectable result.

Finland-born Bangladeshi defender Tariq Kazi said India showed their strength in the last ten minutes. It was very disappointing to lose the concentration from the match in the last ten minutes and conceded two goals which was very unfortunate.

He said they tried their best in the match but it was not good enough to defend India.

Tariq said they would now start preparation for their next match against Oman and hoped to give the maximum effort.

Skipper Jamal Bhuyan said all members of his team wanted to win the match against India because it was a big match and the first ten minutes were good for the team.

But he categorically admitted that they failed to keep the ball procession and made many miss passes during the match against India. As a result, they had to pay extreme compensation conceding two goals in the last ten minutes.

The Bangladesh skipper said they have already discussed the matter with the teammates and they would concentrate to improve mistakes for the next match.

Jamal said they want to forget the result against India and concentrate on playing good football in their last match against Oman.
