HEROIN-RECOVERY
500 grams heroin recovered in Godagari
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, July 24, 2018 (BSS)- Members of Border Guard Bangladesh
(BGB) recovered 500 grams of heroin from Barinagar Field area under Godagari
upazila in Rajshahi district early hours today.
Commanding Officer (CO) of 53 battalion of BGB in Chapainawabganj
Lieutenant Colonel Sajjad Sarwar said, acting on a tip off, a patrol team of
BGB from DMC border outpost raided the frontier Barinagar Field area around
12:45am.
Sensing the presence of BGB a smuggler fled away into India leaving five
poly bags of heroin weighing around 500 grams worth Tk. 10,00,000.
Later, the heroin was deposited with the local Narcotics Control office.
