CHATTOGRAM, June 7, 2021 (BSS)- Customs authority is going to auction 76 lots of various goods including cars, garments accessories and machineries on Wednesday.
The day-long auction will be held on June 9 at Chattogram Port Yard.
Customs sources said that auction of these 76 lots of goods is the largest auction so far.
The goods and vehicles to be auctioned include luxury cars, garments accessories, various types of fabrics, electronics products, textile machineries, ceramic items, etc.
The goods to be auctioned were not unloaded by importers in due time and the goods seized on the charge of attempting to evade customs’ duty on false declarations.
Interested individuals and organisations have been collecting the application forms from this morning and those will be submitted to the concerned authorities to participate in the auction till June 9.
Deputy Customs commissioner Al-Amin of auction branch told BSS that the auction products have set for open exhibition for any interested buyer to purchase those products at auction. The exhibition started this morning and it will continue till Wednesday noon.
Al Amin said that after checking all the submitted documents, a letter would be sent to the person who would give the highest bid.
