Land Service Week begins in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, June 7, 2021 (BSS) – The Land Service Week and the Land Development Tax Fair began in the district yesterday with an aim to enhance land management skills, efficiency and make people aware of their land rights.

Marking the week, the district administration chalked out the elaborate programmes with the theme “Rakhbo Nishkontok Jomi-Bari, Korbo Sobay E-Namjari’ (Our land and home will remain protected, we will do e-mutation).

A discussion meeting was held at the district collectorate office premises with additional deputy commissioner (General) M. Sadequr Rahman in the chair.

Deputy Commissioner M. Abdul Matin addressed the meeting as the chief guest. additional district magistrate and also acting additional deputy commissioner (Revenue) Md. Rabiul Hasan, revenue deputy collector (RDC) Md. Shahedul Islam, senior assistant commissioner Nusrat Jahan, assistant commissioner Shahin Delwar spoke at the event, among others.

The speakers underscored the need for ensuring land service standard and security through the full implementation of automation and digitalization process in land management considering the interest of the people.

DC Abdul Matin said land dispute cases are often creating barriers in the way of providing land services to the people and many pragmatic measures had been taken to promote the land related services for the people.

He also urged the concerned officials and employees to be sincere and professional for making a bridge between land service recipients and providers for ensuring better services so that the land service recipients were not harassed and hurt.
