NAOGAON, June 5, 2021 (BSS): Two motorbike riders were killed by the wheels of a speeding truck near Bijoypur area in Manda upazila of the district at around 10pm yesterday.
The deceased have been identified as Saidur Rahman, 35, son of Nazir Uddin and Alfaz Hossain, 35, son of Ashar Ali. Both hailed from Badalghata village of Manda upazila.
Manda Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shahinur Rahman confirmed the incident saying, “Saidur and Alfaz were on their way home from Badalghata village on a motorbike from Manda Upazila Sadar around 10pm on Friday. A speeding truck coming from the opposite direction crushed the bike killing them on spot.”
As there was no complaint from both the families, the police handed over bodies to their respective families.
A case has been registered in this regard with Manda police station.
