Day labourer killed in Manikganj road mishap
MANIKGANJ, June 04, 2021 (BSS) – A day-labourer was killed in an accident on Hemayetpur-Manikganj Regional Highway here today.
The deceased was identified as Md. Shah Alam, 35, son of Md. Azim uddin of village Chartilli under Saturia upazila of the district.
He was engaged in cutting paddy of Akter Hossain of village Kalinagar under Singair upazila of the district.
Locals and Singair Police said the accident took place at about 1.30 pm when a Manikganj bound speedy covered-van of a biscuit company knocked Alam from behind leaving him injured critically.
The locals rescued the injured sent him to Manikganj hospital. But he died on the way to hospital.
