Special restriction to contain Covid-19 imposed in Rajshahi
RAJSHAHI, June 2, 2021 (BSS) – Rajshahi district administration today imposed special restrictions to contain the spread of Covid-19 in the district.
In accordance with the ongoing nationwide health safety guidelines and other rules, the district administration has added some new rules and regulations amidst the surge of the Covid-19 case for the last couple of days.
Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Abdul Jalil held a press conference at his office conference hall this afternoon detailing the 10-point restrictions.
He said all shops and business centers will remain closed from 7 pm to 6 am until further order.
After 7 pm, movement of the public in general excepting emergency need will be restricted strictly.
All sorts of public meetings and gatherings will remain banned. None will be allowed to eat in hotels and restaurants.
He, however, said transportation of mangoes and other seasonal fruits and green vegetables side by side with the emergency service delivery institutions will be out of the purview of the restriction.
Abdul Jalil said the district administration accompanied by the law enforcing agencies will work to enforce the restrictions across the district.
