31 more test positive for COVID-19 in Satkhira
SATKHIRA, June 2, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 31 more people were tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours in the district after diagnosing 90 samples at Satkhira Medical College and Hospital (SMC) COVID-19 laboratory.
The total number of infected persons stood at 2,769 in the district while the number of recovery cases stand at 2,412, said superintendent of Satkhira Medical College and Hospital Dr Kudrat-E-Khuda this afternoon.
Meanwhile, two patients recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours in the district, Dr Kudrat-E-Khuda told BSS.
A total of 45 people have so far died of COVID-19 in the district, he added.
Dr Khuda said 33 infected persons are now undergoing treatment at Satkhira Medical College and Hospital, while the rest of the infected patients are undergoing treatment at home under the supervision of doctors from various upazila health complexes.
The health expert urged all to follow the health guidelines strictly to prevent the spread of the lethal virus.
