41,074 patients recover from Coronavirus in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, June 2, 2021 (BSS) – The total number of recovered patients from Coronavirus rose to 41,074 with the healing of 310 more people in the last 24 hours.
“The healed patients were discharged from different home isolations and Dedicated Corona Isolation Hospitals of the district as two consecutive real-time PCR tests were found negative,” said Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, civil surgeon of Chattogram.
The health official said the percentage of recovery rate stands at 76.57.
Meanwhile, a total of 137 more people were tested positive for Covid-19 after testing 1,151 samples in the last 24 hours at eight COVID-19 laboratories in the district till Tuesday evening, climbing the number of infections to 53,642.
According to the hospital sources, the infection rate is 11.90 percent during the period.
The daily new infection figure shows a slight enhanced compared to the previous day’s figure of 135, but the recovery rate declining gradually in the district in recent weeks,” he said.
Among the infected patients 85 are from Chattogram city and 52 from different upazilas of the district.
The health expert of Chattogram urged city dwellers again and again to strictly follow health rules and use masks due to continuous increasing corona infections here.
With three deaths on Tuesday the number of coronavirus (COVID-19) deaths in Chattogram stands at 625, Dr Rabbi said.
