196 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, June 2, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 196 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 out of 362 samples tested during the last 24 hours raising the total number of corona positive cases in the district to 2,033.
Chapainawabganj Civil Surgeon office sources said that last night from Rajshahi Medical College Hospital RTPCR lab they received the results of 270 samples in which 172 persons were detected as positive for COVID-19.
Again in the ZeneXpert and Rapid Antigen test of 92 samples in five upazilas of the district 24 persons were detected as positive.
Of the newly 196 detected patients, 175 persons are from sadar upazila, 13 from Gomostapur upazila, seven from Nachole upazila and one from Bholahat upazila.
A total of 867 patients including the 196 newly detected patients are undergoing treatment in the district, the sources added.
The sources further added that a total of 37 persons died of and 1,129 patients recovered from the disease in the district.
