World Milk Day observed in Gaibandha
GAIBANDHA, June 1, 2021(BSS)- The World Milk Day-2021 was observed in the district today as elsewhere in the country and the world.
This year’s theme of the day was “Sustainability in the dairy sector with messages around the environment, nutrition and socio-economics.”
Marking the day, department of livestock services under the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock chalked out the programs in cooperation with district administration.
A discussion meeting on the significance of the daywas also held at the auditorium of Institute of Livestock Science and Technology of the town this afternoon with district Livestock officer Dr. Md. Masudur Rahman in the chair.
Deputy CommissionerAbdul Matin attended the function and addressed it as the chief guest, general secretary of district Awami League Abu Bakar Siddique and Mayor of Gaibandha Municipality Md. Matlubour Rahman also spoke at the event as the special guests.
