CHAPAINAWABGANJ, May 31, 2021 (BSS): 93 more persons were tested positive for COVID-19 raising the total number of corona positive cases in the district to 1,820.
Of the newly 93 detected patients, 57 persons are from sadar upazila, 18 from Shibganj upazila, six from Gomostapur upazila, nine from Nachole upazila and three from Bholahat upazila.
Chapainawabganj civil surgeon office sources said that the results of 63 samples reached the CS office from Rajshahi Medical College Hospital last night.
Of them, 45 were detected as positive for COVID-19.
On the other hand, in rapid antigen test and Gene-Xpert test of 213 samples 48 persons were detected as positive.
A total of 669 patients including the 93 newly detected patients are undergoing treatment in the district, the sources added.
A total of 1,119 patients recovered from the disease and 32 patients died of COVID-19 in the district, the sources confirmed.
