Razzaque lauds PM for taking steps to protect lives, livelihood

TANGAIL, May 30, 2021 (BSS) – Agriculture Minister Dr Muhammad Abdur Razzaque today lauded Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina as she is maintaining the development spree of the country by taking various pragmatic steps to protect the lives and livelihood of the people.

“The premier has been successfully advancing the development of the country by tackling various natural calamities including epidemics, floods and cyclones. She has been working tirelessly to protect the lives and livelihood of the people of the country,” he said.

The minister made the remarks while addressing a monthly general meeting of the Upazila Parishad at Madhupur Upazila Parishad auditorium in Tangail.

Praising the premier for taking steps to protect lives and livelihood of the people, he added that more than 100 countries around the world have yet to receive the corona vaccines but the Prime Minister has arranged vaccines for the people of the country from the very beginning.

“We have been dealing with the corona epidemic for more than a year now.” he said, adding that at the beginning of corona pandemic, everyone thought that the impact of the epidemic would cause an extreme food crisis in Bangladesh.

“May be there will be a famine in the country but the Prime Minister has taken various steps to address this crisis. Her continuous instructions have increased food production in the country. Due to the foresight and wisdom of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, there was no food crisis in Bangladesh,” he continued.

He also called upon the members of the Upazila Parishad to complete all the development works of the upazila in a timely manner in compliance with the hygiene rules.

Madhupur Upazila Chairman Charowar Alam Khan Abu, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shamima Yasmin, Municipal Mayor Siddique Hossain Khan, members of Upazila Parishad and Upazila level officials were present on the occasion.
