DHAKA, May 30, 2021 (BSS)- A Dhaka court today placed finance secretary of Hefajat-e-Islam’s recently dissolved committee Monir Hossain Kashemi on three-day fresh remand in a case lodged over the group’s anarchy in capital’s Baitul Mukarram area in March this year.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Sufian Mohammad Noman passed the order after holding a hearing on the matter.
Earlier, police produced the accused before the court after end of his three-day remand in a case lodged over Hefajat’s 2013 anarchy in the capital and pleaded to keep him behind the bars in the case.
Kashemi was remanded in the case on May 26.
He was arrested from capital’s Baridhara area by detective branch of police on May 21.
