31,280 coronavirus patients recover in Khulna division
KHULNA , May 30, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 31,280 coronavirus (COVID-19) patients were released after their recovery among 34,085 infected people in all 10 districts of Khulna division till 12 noon today.
“The percentage of recovered coronavirus patients stands at 91.77 in the division,” Assistant Director (Health) of Khulna division Dr. Ferdousi Akther told BSS today.
“We received 388 samples of suspected coronavirus patients at KMC in Khulna and other samples in Jashore and Kustia laboratories in the last 24 hours and 232 of those were found COVID-19 positive,” said Assistant Director (Health) of Khulna division Dr. Ferdousi AktherAkther
The newly detected 232 COVID-19 patients include 78 in Bagerhat, 57 in Jashore, 53 in Khulna, 24 in Satkhira, 13 in Kustia, five in Jhenidah, and one each in Chuadanga and Meherpur districts under the division
Officials informed that the total number of infected persons rose to 34,085 after testing their samples at the three regional COVID-19 laboratories till 12 noon today, since March 10, 2020.
Of the total 34,085 patients, 10,171 are in Khulna, 6,887 in Jashore, 4,913 in Kustia, 2,903 in Jhenaidah,1957 in Chuadanga,1864 in Narail, 1,591 in Bagerhat, 1,559 in Satkhira,1253 in Magura and 987 in Meherpur.
At the same time, a total of 638 fatalities were reported so far with 172 in Khulna, 111 in Kustia, 80 in Jashore, 61 in Chuadanga, 55 in Jhenidah, 46 in Satkhira, 41 in Bagerhat, 26 in Narail and 23 each in Magura and Meherpur districts in Khulna division.
Among the total 34,085 coronavirus infected patients, 4,378 are undergoing treatment at isolation units of different hospitals after release of 31,280 recovered patients and 638 deaths while the rest of the patients are remaining in isolation at their respective homes in the division.
