No COVID-19 death reported in last 15-day in Manikganj
MANIKGANJ, May 30, 2021 (BSS) – No one died due to COVID-19 in last 15 days in the district as 40 persons were detected positive for the deadly virus, Civil Surgeon (CS) office sources said.
CS Dr. Anwarul Amin Akonda said the infection rate is 11.30 percent and recovery rate is 95 percent.
He said, a total of 2,333 people were detected Covid-19 positive in the district so far.
Of them, 2213 patients have recovered and 46 have died, he continued.
“A total of 74 patients are now undergoing treatment. Of them, 8 patients are in isolation units of hospitals and 66 in home isolation,” the health official added.
A total of 31893 people took the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine up to Saturday while 48,788 received their first dose in the district so far.
The vaccination is continuing at the Manikganj 250-bed hospital, Police Line, Colonel Malek Medical College and each of the six upazila health complexes, said Dr. Rafiqun Nahar Banna, medical officer at CS office.
He said, “There is no COVID- 19 death in the district within last 15 days.”
CS Akonda said vaccination of both the first and second doses would concurrently continue.
