CHAPAINAWABGANJ, May 30, 2021 (BSS): 107 more persons were tested positive for COVID-19 raising the total number of corona positive cases in the district to 1,725.
Of the newly 107 detected patients, 65 persons are from sadar upazila, 28 from Shibganj upazila and 14 from Gomostapur upazila.
Chapainawabganj civil surgeon office sources said that the results of 188 samples reached the CS office from Rajshahi Medical College Hospital last night.
A total of 523 patients including the 107 newly detected patients are undergoing treatment in the district, the sources added.
A total of 1,119 patients recovered from the disease and 32 patients died of COVID-19 in the district, the sources confirmed.
Meanwhile Indian variant has been detected in seven patients of Chapainawabganj district in a test at IEDCR, the sources further confirmed.
