Booters start first training from today

DHAKA, May 29, 2021 (BSS)- The Bangladesh national football team are scheduled to start their first training from this evening under the supervision of head coach Jamie Day for the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qualifiers and AFC Asian Cup China 2023 (preliminary joint round) matches.

Jamal Bhuyan and Co., now currently in Qatar, are scheduled to do their training at Qatar University ground at 7.30 pm (Bangladesh time), according to a message received here from Bangladesh Football Federation today.

After reaching Doha on Friday last, all the players and staff of Bangladesh team went through a COVID-19 test and all of their reports came in negative. As all were tested negative, so the national footballers go to the field to have training from today.

Earlier, on Friday morning, a 32-member Bangladesh national football team left for Qatar to take part in their remaining three matches of the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qualifiers and AFC Asian Cup China 2023 (preliminary joint round).

The 32-member Bangladesh team included twenty three players and nine team officials.

A Qatar Air Lines flight, carrying the national football team, landed at Doha airport at 1.10 pm (local time).

According to the fixtures of the FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifiers, Bangladesh will play against Afghanistan, India and Oman on June 3, 7 and 15 respectively.
