Health minister’s mother Fouzia Maleque passes away
DHAKA, May 27, 2021 (BSS) – Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid
Malque’s mother Fouzia Maleque died of asthma and old age
complications while undergoing treatment at AMZ Hospital in the
capital around 6.30pm today.
She was 84.
She is survived by a son and a daughter.
Four days ago Fouzia Maleque was admitted to the hospital. Later,
she was kept on life-support for the last couple of days. Five months
back she was tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19).
The health minister and his family sought doa from the people for
the eternal peace of the departed soul.
Fouzia Maleque was born at Hargaj village under Manikganj sadar
upazila. Her husband late Colonel MA Maleque had served as the Dhaka
City Corporation mayor and jute minister.
Her daughter Rubina Hamid is a professor of Dhaka University.
