LSD drug found for first time in country, 3 held

DHAKA, May 27, 2021 (BSS) – Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP)’s
Detective Brunch (DB) of Ramna Division has recovered a drug called
Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) for the first time in the country
from a house in the capital and nabbed three students.

DMP’s Additional Commissioner AKM Hafiz Akhtar came up with this
information at a press conference at the media center on Minto road in
the capital today.

During the time, police said three people have been arrested on
charges of selling the drug.

They were arrested from the capital on Wednesday night, police said.

They are: Sadman Sakib alias Rupol, 25 and Ahsab Wadud alias Turja,
22, students of North South University and Adib Ashraf, 23, student of
Independent University.

DMP’s Additional Commissioner AKM Hafiz Akhtar said during the
raid, a total of 200 blot of LSD drugs were recovered from the
arrested Hafizur’s three friends (Rupol, Ahsab and Turja).

The value of the recovered drugs is Taka 6 lakh, he informed.

He added that this drug (LSD) was brought to the country from the
Netherlands for the first time.
